Don't Try
Too often then not, we come to the realization that we are feeling sad or disappointed or whatever of the like and when we do so, we ever so long then 'try' to be happy.
After all the quantum jumps that I have in my 'mood' within matter of minutes, it dawned upon me, crazy as it may seem at first, not to 'try' to be happy, just be happy point blank without a reason.
Being Happy without any reason may seem as some lunatic, but in today's ever so realistically 'fake' world, it may be the best choice you could make.
"Trying to be happy" is in itself a negative emotion to think of, influenced by the very philosophy that blogger Mark Manson wrote about in his hit book, because deep down subconsciously you are affirming the fact that you aren't happy right now and you can't be happy in the circumstances, and that you have to try in order to find some situation in which you can be happy.
Impractical as it may seem, when you think of it, when you ask yourself within, 'why am I trying to be happy?' you'll inevitably burst out for your stupidity that you are 'trying to be happy' and for the gloomy person you were and be happy in real!
For no matter what point in your life you are in right now, if you have got air in your lungs, food, water and shelter, all the rudimentary stuff but most of all, despite of all the feuds you have, if you've got people in your life by your side, then you can and very well let go of the gratifying worries that rob us of our joy everyday.
So don't try to be happy, just be happy as it is. And yes! You don't need a reason to be happy.
Instead of trying, embrace the chaos that you are in all its glory and be happy, not a reason to procrastinate or make excuses but just go through the whole process easily, happily, content.
Be. Don't Try.
That's exactly what the world needs
ReplyDeleteNice thought, one should imply in their life to be happy.
ReplyDeleteBE HAPPY, NO BO
Loved the notion.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteNever knew you had such a beautiful combination of your lexicon framed so piously in words. Loved to read it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, we tend to associate happiness with destination or a person... But happiness is in the journey, it's all around and in us. We just need to feel it.
ReplyDeleteBecause I think there is no destination other than death... Every other thing is a part of the journey called life.
Totally agree Sharayu! Glad you liked it.
