Don't Try

Too often then not, we come to the realization that we are feeling sad or disappointed or whatever of the like and when we do so, we ever so long then 'try' to be happy.  After all the quantum jumps that I have in my 'mood' within matter of minutes,  it dawned upon me,  crazy as it may seem at first, not to 'try' to be happy,  just be happy point blank without a reason. Being Happy without any reason may seem as some lunatic, but in today's ever so realistically 'fake' world, it may be the best choice you could make. "Trying to be happy" is in itself a negative emotion to think of, influenced by the very philosophy that blogger Mark Manson wrote about in his hit book, because deep down subconsciously you are affirming the fact that you aren't happy right now and you can't be happy in the circumstances, and that you have to try in order to find some situation in which you can be happy. Impractical as it may seem, when you think ...

The Storm

Rains all around, bringing euphoric ecstasy to everyone in the beginning, bringing respite and relief after a substantiously hot summer, slowly but surely melancholic mood catches up after quite some time, and as the thunder rages on, reminding us beings of the fact that we are puny in front of the majestic forces of nature, and as the child within us all sometimes whimpers to the rumble. The Storm.. It reminds me of the thunder raging within us all as well,  the storm cooking within us, which sometimes appears in ways we ourselves can't really think of..  The thunder within us that brings forth our rudimentary instinct of survival as humans, that kindles our ego that so constantly bleeds fed by our growing insecurities , and our self-throned entitlement to things that we wrongly think is in context of our basic pursuit of happiness .. But the only thing perhaps that distinguishes those who succeed in all that they do be it relationships, career or sport and those who al...

The Dawn

As we set off for the trip. A trip that my mother and sister were planning  meticulously for quite some time without bringing it to my notice, so as to surprise me, although eventually I did know because they are very poor concealers. I wasn't really looking forward to it as soon as a week after coming home finally,  I had in my mind foreseen a good long stay at my home for quite some time before having a trip, so this trip caught me quite unaware, but we were quite set in and so we embarked. We had our flight to Leh at 4 a.m in the morning and it was probably the first time I didn't sleep the entire night,  after fighting for the much coveted 'window' seat as the sun was about to rise and I had the opportunity to see it from 37000 feet up above & so I pounced upon the opportunity.  The shades of deep violet sky blending and merging in the background into deep black up above, truly at the edge.. A sea of clouds beneath us of all shapes and sizes extending int...

To Start

I can scarcely believe that I'm writing this,  as I finally come out of my tortoise shell of procrastination to finally put down some of my pandemonium in ink! Starting a blog... Some wise person who didn't procrastinate ,once said " starting something is halfway accomplishing it " So much just to console the instant gratification monkey up in my head. I was 11 when my mom handed me a huge book stating that this was to be my diary and that every night before calling it a day,  I must write a page in it. So much for the 11 year old dreamer kid that I was, and so I started journaling ,  page by page,  night by night. From what time I woke up to what I did throughout the day,  more like an account of my activities than thoughts, but obviously I was 11 after all. Even though such books have date printed up on the pages,  i never finished that book, my best guess would be its still somewhere at August. So although for the fact that I didn't write muc...
