The Storm
Rains all around, bringing euphoric ecstasy to everyone in the beginning, bringing respite and relief after a substantiously hot summer, slowly but surely melancholic mood catches up after quite some time, and as the thunder rages on, reminding us beings of the fact that we are puny in front of the majestic forces of nature, and as the child within us all sometimes whimpers to the rumble.
The Storm..
It reminds me of the thunder raging within us all as well, the storm cooking within us, which sometimes appears in ways we ourselves can't really think of.. The thunder within us that brings forth our rudimentary instinct of survival as humans, that kindles our ego that so constantly bleeds fed by our growing insecurities, and our self-throned entitlement to things that we wrongly think is in context of our basic pursuit of happiness..
But the only thing perhaps that distinguishes those who succeed in all that they do be it relationships, career or sport and those who also are filled with brimming potential but still never quite make the ends meet is the storm. The storm that could either very well sink us to oblivion, or the same storm which could ride us to our destination ever faster. We all have it within us, it's only a matter of choice as to let it sink us, succumb us or to thrive with all the glory of the storm.
As Tibetan Monks do truly say, your mind is like the sky, it's always calm and clear, pristine above the clouds. Occasional thunder clouds below can make us chaotic in our thoughts, but to remember that its always the same clear and pristine up above is a choice.
To harness the storm's energies in the right direction is a choice to us all, one that separates us from our destiny and our demons.
That storm for me is instinct, the little voice in the back of my head, that so vehemently influences me, that tells I can do it and also that I can't do it, but what to listen and what not to is a choice after all?
